What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you contact us, subscribe to our website and when purchasing goods. The information we collect may vary on what it is you are doing for example you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, shipping address, phone number or credit card information.
The information we collect from you may be used in either of these ways:
- To send emails to you from The Soap Gal; The email address you use for subscribing to our website in order to keep you up to date with our latest fabulous products, processing your order, sometimes we send you information regarding your order.
- To complete transactions; Any personal details we receive will be kept within our company ONLY. These details will never be sold to other companies or exchanged. The details of name and address are only ever public on your parcel for delivery purposes. Rarely information is shared to a third party via Shopify to prevent fraud and suspicious activity. How do we protect your information and data?
Maintaining and protecting a customer’s personal information is extremely important to The Soap Gal, when you place an order on our website, we offer our customers the chance to pay via Paypal which is very safe and secure. We also offer customer’s to pay for their products via Shopify Payments, again which is a safe and secure place to purchase any goods. Customers are welcome to collect their orders from us, items can be paid for online or cash payment.
Once your order has been processed, no financial details are kept on our system. However, we do keep minor information to keep us on track of orders, our best sellers and how often our customers are purchasing goods to maintain high standards and improve future products. We only keep the item bought, name and email address.
The Soap Gal – Shopify
The Soap Gal’s website is hosted via Shopify Inc., an online selling platform enabling fabulous customers to buy fabulous products.
- What information Shopify collects:
The customers’ name, email, shipping and billing address, payment details, company name, phone number, IP address, information about orders you purchase, the Shopify-supported merchant stores that you visit, and information about the device and browser you use. Shopify use this information to provide merchants with the Services to prevent fraudulent activity. If you use Shopify Pay, Shopify store and use this information to pre-fill your checkout information to help customise and improve your experience when you visit a merchant store by presenting to you goods and service that are more likely to be of interest to you.
Shopify - When and why do we share this information with third parties?
Shopify works with third parties and service providers to help provide our merchants with the Services and we may share personal information with them to support these efforts. We may also share your information in the following circumstances: As stated above to prevent, investigate, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service or any other agreement related to the Services, or as otherwise required by law. Shopify is responsible for all onward transfers of personal information to third parties in accordance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
When purchasing from The Soap Gal each product is made to a high quality and a high standard, we will ensure your purchases are sent to you suitably packaged. If you feel your item is damaged please contact us using the contact us page and we will aim to get back to you within 1 working day with a solution. However if you simply do not like your item I am afraid we do not accept refunds or exchanges due to personal hygiene and the nature of the product. Each item/items is classed as a single item purchase rather than a package, we will only be able to provide a solution for the single item that is faulty. Please note: The Soap Gal uses reliable shipping services, however if your item is lost, stolen or missed delivery we are NOT held responsible and it is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the courier.
